PRESS REALEASE (ARIES) – Have you ever tried espresso coffee in a cave? If you come to Trieste don’t miss “Underground coffee”Friday 24 October at 5.30 pm. TriestEspresso Expo and Gruppo Cimbali will serve you an underground coffee in the Grotta Gigante, one of town’s main tourist attractions, the cave that opens into the largest visitable single room in the world. A natural compartment made spectacular by its exceptional size and the fascinating stalactites and stalagmites, which reach a height of 12 metres. An initiative that unites two unique aspects of Trieste: the karst phenomena with its spectacular caves and a long tradition of coffee. The guided tour of the cave will leave at 5.30 pm from in front of the entrance of the TriestEspresso Expo pavilions in the Old Port of Trieste: a coach will take the participants up to Borgo Grotta Gigante and then bring them back to the pavilions at 7.30. “Underground coffee” is one of the initiatives designed to involve the city and allow the visitors of the trade fair to discover its attractions, bringing together operators in the espresso coffee sector from all over the world. A perfect idea to drink a memorable espresso coffee 100 metres below ground level. Pre-registrations are open, with a limited number of places.
