The meeting of the group of experts on organoleptic assesment will be held on videoconference on September 16-17, 2020
Around 30 experts from International Olive Council member countries will take part in a meeting on the organoleptic assessment of virgin olive oils
The meeting will be held by videoconference at IOC headquarters in Madrid and language interpretation will be available. The experts will discuss the latest updates on the sensory analysis of virgin olive oils, and the progress of the electronic work groups on subjects such as laboratory accreditation, panel training, reference samples and statistics applicable to sensory analysis.
The results of the inter-comparison trials for sensory analysis laboratory accreditation for 2020/2021 will also be presented, and other areas of interest will be covered such as the organisation of the workshop on the harmonisation of IOC-approved panels that will be held from 14 to 18 December 2020.
