The table below illustrates the trade figures for olive oil and olive-pomace oil in eight markets in the first se-ven months of the current crop year, October 2018 to April 2019. The data show an increase of 25% in Japan; 16% in Australia and Russia; 15% in Brazil; 12% in China; 9% in the US; and 3% in Canada, compared to the same period the previous crop year.
As for the EU , intra-EU acquisitions rose by 6% and extra-EU imports fell by 6% in the first six months of the current crop year (2018/19) compared to the same period the previous crop year.
